SHOCK WAVE SURGERY
Shock wave kidney surgery also called extra choral shock wave lithotripsy. It is used in the case of kidney stones between 6 and 15 mm in size. It is performed with an apparatus that creates shock waves focused on the stones in order to break them into small pieces that can be eliminated in the urine.
Recovery from surgery: Generally, shock wave surgery is not performed under anesthesia, so the patient can return home the same day as the intervention. However, some people may develop a fever after the operation, so it is recommended that they stay at home for 3 days until the remains of stones in the urine are removed.
