This position is responsible for leave administration and assisting with all aspects of the employee life cycle.

Job Responsibilities for Human Resources Generalist Role:

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Assists in all areas of the employee life cycle as needed, including: onboarding, employee relations, development, exit interviews, and termination processing. Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation. 
• Conducts new hire orientation in conjunction with other departments to build out a SIXT welcome program 
• Checks in with all new hires in 30-60-90 days 
• Supports all Business Partner with any administrative work 
• Assists with department records and reports, including maintaining company organization charts, HRIS data, etc. 
• Plans and coordinates employee wellness events, both in HQ and across the USA for promoting health and wellness. 
• Helps to administer various human resources plans, policies and procedures, including updates to the Employee Handbook. 
• Ad hoc reporting as requested, including employee information and data, etc. 
• Participates in departmental meetings and attends other meetings as required. 
• Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures compliance; maintains responsibility for compliance with federal and state legislation pertaining to all personnel matters. 
• Participates on committees, special projects and seeks additional responsibilities. 
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Job Requirements, Required Skills & Educational Qualifications

To be considered for this role of Human Resources Generalist, you need to meet the following requirements:

Required skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Human Resources-related field 
• S/PHR Certification is a plus, but not required 
• Minimum two years’ experience in a human resources role or similar position 
• Excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills and team-based project experience 
• Clear understanding of labor laws 
• Strong organization, multi-tasking and prioritization skills 
• Strong customer service skills in delivering excellence 
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and HRIS systems
