Common Diseases
Type 2 Diabetes: the most common form of diabetes, representing95% of the cases. Approximately 4-8% of adult people are diabetic. Symptoms of type 2 diabetes are so mild they often go unnoticed for years. For many, the first sign of diabetes comes when complications of high blood glucose begin to appear through abnormal sensation in feet, kidney distinctions, eyesight changes and advanced changes in heart and blood vessels, which can cause angina, heart attacks, etc. During an asymptotic period, a fasting blood glucose check or oral glucose tolerance check may be the only way to detect the condition.

Type 1 Diabetes usually starts in adolescence. Common symptoms are weight loss, excessive urination occurred over a few days.

Gestation Diabetes (GDM): high glucose that is recognized for the first time during pregnancy. Care is largely directed towards improving glucose levels and the health of mother and her baby. Treatments includes lifestyle changes, oral medicines, among others.
