We are happy to announce that “WuLi – An Exclusive Center for Physics” offering tuition to the needy students for the following physics courses at nominal charges.

1. Plus I and II (Class XI and XII)

The sessions (up to 5 hours per week) will be offline as well as online (for those who want to avoid the inconvenience of travelling long distances) through team, zoom or google meet between 7.00 – 8.00 pm. Students who opt for offline classes, lab classes will also be offered. The offline classes will be conducted at a convenient location at Chirayinkeezhu, Trivandrum just two minutes’ walk from the Train and Bus Stations.

It has been observed over a decade now that there is a consistent fall in the performance of the students after their 10th grade. Studies showed that the major reason for this fall is due to the lack of foundation in the student’s subject knowledge. To solve this problem a foundation course will also be given. The foundation course will build a bridge to cover the gap between what the student knows and what s/he supposed to know for grade 12 and beyond.

As a teacher in physics, it is my goal to impart an understanding of the basic principles in physics before going on the meticulous details. As a teacher, I teach the essence. When the essence is perceived, I teach what is necessary to expand that perception. Please note, the course WILL NOT be entrance exam point of view but if taken seriously the student can crack any competitive exam related to physics.

Since the courses cover a very large amount of material, the lectures are well-planned while at the same time flexible enough to allow for in-class discussion. The material learnt in the class will also relate with its practical applications and current research areas in physics.

The instructor was responsible for the implementation of the new National education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) in one of the Universities where he was the Dean – Academic. Understanding the importance of pedagogy in the teaching learning process, the course curriculum is framed in such a way that it meets the procedural details and salient features of NEP 2020.

About the Instructor:

Dr. Ullas Gurudas teaches Physics. He is workaholic, has a passion for teaching and believes that one cannot be a good teacher without being a good researcher. He has many years of teaching and research experience in India and abroad. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Atomic and Molecular Science, Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan and Rutgers University, NJ, USA, Visiting Scientist to Princeton University, NJ, USA and Paul Scherrer Institute, Villigen, Switzerland and Research Scientist, New York University, NY, USA. Prior to moving to the USA, he was an Assistant Professor at the Center for Laser Spectroscopy, MAHE, Manipal, where he developed an interest in the applications of Laser Spectroscopy in Medicine. He has published many research articles in leading scientific journals. Dr. Ullas holds an Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degrees in Physics from Kerala University and a Doctoral Degree in Physics (Laser Spectroscopy) from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India. His research areas are Laser Physics, Laser Spectroscopy, Ultrafast Optics, Nonlinear Optics, and Nanophotonics.
